NSW: Storms bring rain to country NSW
SYDNEY, Jan 14 AAP - Country New South Wales received welcome rain late yesterday as
thunderstorms produced spectacular light shows around the state.
Rural areas received the most rain as a low pressure system from the Northern Territory
moved across the north-west of NSW, the weather bureau said.
Residents of the Central West, South Coast and Southern Highlands were warned of hail
and strong winds yesterday, but the State Emergency Service received only 24 calls for
assistance.
