WA: Cyclone Nicholas set to intensify
A tropical cyclone off Western Australia's north-west coast is set to intensify ..
and may cross the Pilbara coast on Sunday.
Residents from Cape Leveque to Bidyadanga are on cyclone watch for Cyclone Nicholas
.. a category one system.
It's expected to intensify later today and tomorrow as it moves south-west towards the coast.
Forecasters say the cyclone's latest track is west of Port Hedland .. and it's most
likely to cross the coast on Sunday near Whim Creek.
Gales are expected to develop today in the coastal and island communities between Cape
Leveque and Bidyadanga.
